Rob Herscoe

Co-founder of Herscoe Hajjar Architects, LLC, has been a cornerstone of the firm since its inception in 2003. With a career spanning 40 years, Rob’s architectural mastery is the driving force behind the company’s reputation for designing luxury residences, transformative renovations, and distinctive commercial ventures. His approach to architecture is similar to an artist’s, meticulously crafting each project to reflect the objectives of his clients, turning their visions into architectural marvels.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rob’s academic foundation was started at Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. His career includes tenures at globally recognized firms such as Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, contributing to their London and San Francisco offices, and a significant period at Erickson/Herscoe in Connecticut.
Rob’s design philosophy is a balance of clean lines and cutting-edge innovation. He is a firm believer that architecture transcends mere buildings—it shapes the very experiences of those who inhabit them. This philosophy is unmistakable in every project he touches, a testament to his unwavering pursuit of architectural perfection.
Beyond his design work, Rob is a participant in the business and architectural communities. He holds memberships with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). His exceptional contributions to design have been recognized with numerous awards, including the coveted Sam Noe’s People’s Choice Award for the “Four Corners Design Competition” in Naples, FL.
G. Michael Hajjar

As a Principal Architect and Partner, Michael steers the design helm, ensuring that every conceptual blueprint aligns seamlessly with the clients’ envisioned ideas and fiscal frameworks.
Michael’s journey into the realm of architecture began in 1990 with his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Roger Williams College. Since that time, he has been sculpting environments with a blend of precision and inventiveness. As a visionary principal partner, Michael easily speaks in the dialect of blueprints and aspirations, materializing the dreams of his clientele into tangible forms.
In 1993, Michael’s path converged with Rob at Erickson/Herscoe Architects, nestled in the quaint town of Canton, Connecticut. It was here, during the crafting of luxurious residences, that Michael refined his artistry and cultivated an astute attention to detail. The charm of Florida’s housing market beckoned, leading Michael and his wife, Laura, to sunny Naples FL. There, his passion for crafting magnificent houses and upscale condominiums grew.
His commitment with the world of design extends into active participation with esteemed institutions such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and the Woman’s Council of Realtors, contributing to the broader community of design and real estate.
Away from the drafting table, he is not only a dedicated husband but also a father to four, nurturing a family with as much dedication as he does his architectural projects.
Andrea Gordon
Senior Director Business Development
At the heart of Herscoe Hajjar Architects, LLC, Andrea is a beacon of innovation and connection. With a rich marketing and branding background, she is instrumental in steering the firm’s business development, marketing initiatives, website development & design, and overall strategy. Andrea’s dynamic approach to nurturing client relationships ensures HHA’s strong ties within the real estate and construction sectors. She champions the Co-op program, cultivating a symbiotic learning environment for the architects of tomorrow.
As a digital communication enthusiast, Andrea excels as a social media strategist, blending creativity with analytical prowess to weave compelling brand narratives. Her track record is a testament to her ability to surpass goals and cultivate enduring client partnerships, continually unlocking new avenues for the firm.
Her analytical skills naturally bring her to delve into metrics, analyze engagement, and unravel the intricacies of algorithms. She believes in the power of community, engaging in meaningful interactions that resonate and build lasting relationships.

John berkoben
Architectural Draftsman and 3D Visualization Expert
Since joining Herscoe Hajjar Architects in 2008, John has been an integral part of our team, infusing both precision and innovation into many of the firms’ design projects over the past 16 years. A proud alumnus of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, John holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design, a testament to his deep understanding of form and function.
John’s expertise lies in bringing design concepts to life through 3D modeling and animation, offering clients a dynamic visual experience of their homes before they are built. This approach has not only brought joy to our clients but has also greatly enhanced the decision-making process. His dedication extends to producing meticulous construction drawings, ensuring each project adheres to the highest standards and local regulatory compliances. His attention to detail is unparalleled, making him a cornerstone of our firm’s success.
Away from the drafting table, John imagines he’d be perfecting his golf swing or creating cherished memories on family vacations with his wife and three children.
Mitko Yankov
Architect
At the heart of Herscoe Hajjar Architects, LLC, stands Mitko Yankov, a cornerstone of the firm since his start in 2015. Hailing from the historic city of Sofia, Bulgaria, Mitko’s architectural journey began in the classic European streets he grew up in. His dedication to architecture led him to Varna University, where he garnered a distinguished degree in Architecture and Engineering.
His pursuit of excellence didn’t stop there; Mitko furthered his credentials and proudly holds the title of a registered Architect in the sunny State of Florida. Mitko’s professional odyssey has seen him navigate international boundaries, contributing to landmark projects such as the New International Passenger Terminals in Varna and Burgas, shopping centers and the DoubleTree by Hilton in Minsk, Belarus. These experiences abroad have not only broadened his architectural horizons but also refined his expertise.
Mitko embraced the coastal vibes of Naples, Florida, shifting his focus to the art of residential architecture. His proficiency isn’t limited to design; he’s an expert in value engineering and strategic decision-making. Mitko’s collaborative approach with homeowners, builders, designers, and engineers, coupled with his serene composure, makes him an indispensable partner in his profession.
Mitko enjoys quiet time with his wife, Shonny and their 2 children when he is not playing tennis or soccer.

Hailey pinkerton
Architectural Design Consultant
Hailey embarked on her journey with Herscoe Hajjar Architects, LLC in 2016 as a co-op student and swiftly rose to become a cornerstone of our creative force. Her visionary approach and conceptual prowess have greatly contributed to our firm’s evolution. Throughout her tenure, Hailey has embraced diverse roles, consistently bringing a sense of purpose and fresh innovation to our team. A proud alumna of the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program, Hailey earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2017.
Presently, Hailey excels in creating conceptual design development animations. Her specialization in visual and conceptual 3D modeling, along with her passion for project rendering, allows our clients to envision their dream homes like never before.
Her artistic zeal reaches far beyond the confines of blueprints and CAD models. As an accomplished artist, Hailey’s art has graced art exhibitions and galleries alike, in addition to many of our clients and partners’ personal homes.

Hailey resides in the picturesque mountains of Colorado Springs, CO, with her husband Rico and their two Goldendoodles, Whiskey and Bee. Beyond architecture, Hailey is a passionate rock climber, constantly challenging her boundaries in both mind and body.
Nicole largillier
Architectural Designer
Nicole joined our team in July 2023, bringing with her extensive experience in French fashion and luxury brands which was a flawless transition to the residential boutique environment at Herscoe Hajjar Architects. For over 8 years, Nicole worked with luxury houses like Hermes, Chanel, and interned in Milan with Christian Louboutin. Soon after starting her family, she shifted back to her original passion and resumed her architectural studies, completing her Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Cincinnati's Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning program (DAAP) in April 2023. Her previous studies were focused aboard, studying Architecture at L'Ecole Speciale d'Architecture in Paris, France.
Nicole was initially attracted to HHA's adaptability across so many varied architectural styles in residential design. Since joining the team, she's enjoyed working with and learning from mentors Rob Herscoe and Michael Hajjar. The diverse projects keep her engaged and excited about the practice of architecture.
Outside of work, Nicole loves swimming and traveling with her French husband and two beautiful daughters.
Stephanie Ontko
Office Manager
Since joining Herscoe Hajjar Architects LLC in January 2020, Stephanie has been the cornerstone of our office as the esteemed Office Manager. Her steadfast dedication has been pivotal in enhancing our office’s daily operations and overall management. Stephanie’s presence ensures a vibrant atmosphere—her adept coordination keeps both our team and clients on a seamless schedule.
A proud native of North Carolina, Stephanie has embraced Naples as her home for over three decades, since 1993. It’s here that she nurtured her two remarkable daughters and infused our team with her passion for photography and art. Her creative flair is instrumental in fostering an inviting ambiance for our clients, business associates, and colleagues.
Renowned for her conflict resolution skills and attention to detail, Stephanie’s daily orchestration is nothing short of meticulous.
If she weren’t working at HHA, she’d likely be pursuing her artistic side on the picturesque Mediterranean Coast of Italy. We hope she gets there one day!
